Moving in Cleveland
The neighborhoods that keep us busiest are the dense ones — Ohio City, Tremont, Detroit-Shoreway, Old Brooklyn, and the student-and-hospital churn around University Circle. Those are walk-up buildings and tight street parking, which is exactly where a rolling dolly loaded with uniform totes beats a dozen mismatched boxes carried one at a time. Totes stack square in a truck, so a single trip often does what two used to.
Then there's the weather. Lake-effect rain and snow will soak a cardboard bottom out in the time it takes to unlock the front door, and a soaked box fails at the worst possible moment. Our totes have snap lids and don't care what the sky is doing. Cleveland is about a 25-minute run from our base in Eastlake, so same-week delivery windows are usually easy to get, even on a Saturday.
